Zesto Audio Bia 200 Select stereo speaker: 2 x 100W and four output tube options

Zesto Audio introduced the Bia 200 Select tube stereo power amplifier. The novelty produces up to 100 W per channel of dynamic power, working in class A. The potential of the device is reflected in the name: in Greek mythology, Bia is a titan goddess, personifying strength and power.

George Counnas, President and Chief Design Engineer of Zesto, conceived a circuit that would allow different tubes to be used in the output stage. This will not only extend the life cycle of the device, but will also be of particular interest to tube sound enthusiasts - it will be possible to experiment with sound options.

To do this, the new product has a 3-position Auto Bias Select switch - perhaps the main source of pride for the developers. It provides automatic offset that will fit not only the stock KT150 output lamps, but also the KT88, KT120 and KT170 variants. "Three ideal auto-bias settings for four different output tubes" are promised.

In addition, according to Zesto Audio, the Bia 200 Select stereo amplifier received a new grounding scheme and a power supply with a large toroidal mains transformer. The novelty is promised "a more lively, dynamic musical sound."

In the US, the Bia 200 Select two-channel power amplifier costs $14,800.
