Musical Fidelity has released its own version of the legendary LS3/5A bookshelf monitors. Most likely, unlike the models regularly produced in one or another modification from the same Falcon Acoustics , this will be a one-time promotion. However, the company claims that its version is "built to the original specifications" and "represents a revival of this classic and highly sought-after loudspeaker."

Unlike its counterparts, Musical Fidelity's description of the BBC LS3/5a monitor does not mention any improvements to the original model related to modern features - no matter how seductive they may be. This novelty (if I may say so about a product developed in the mid-70s) differs from many well-known modern replicas.

This is evidenced by the parameters of the model, made in accordance with the specifications of the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC RD1976 / 29 - an impedance of 15 ohms and a sensitivity of 82.5 dB. The product page reiterates the old recommendation: for professional use and beyond.

Closed box, linear frequency response down to 100 Hz, fast response and detailed mids - these are the features they tried to revive in their version of Musical Fidelity monitors. They offer to listen to them with class A amplifiers - there is just one in the MF catalog.

In Europe, Musical Fidelity's LS3/5a monitors cost €2,500.
