Chromecast, AirPlay 2, and Roon with 300W

The JBL 4329P studio monitors have entered the Harman Luxury Audio lineup, debuting at CES 2023. The manufacturer says that these all-in-one speakers received twice the power headroom of the previous, younger 4305P model, in addition to streaming functionality.

Of the stock 300 watts, the 1" JBL 2409H compression driver in the High-Definition Imaging (HDI) horn gets 50. The rest goes to a larger 8" woofer than the previous model. The frequency ranges between them are distributed by a digital signal processor (DSP).

At the same time, the main feature of the 4329P studio monitors, according to JBL, is “extensive wired and wireless connectivity” and built-in digital signal processing. The speakers are equipped with Ethernet with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX adaptive sound. The novelty supports Google Chromecast, and Apple AirPlay 2, understands MQA and is certified Roon Ready. The built-in DAC works with resolutions up to 24-bit/192 kHz.

JBL 4329P digital connections include USB and optical input. An unbalanced analog stereo is received on a 3.5mm stereo jack, and XLR is provided for balancing. There is also a ¼" TRS phono input. The 4329P finish has 2 options, real or black walnut veneer. The manufacturer recommends supplementing the monitors with optional JS-80 floor stands. The availability of new items is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023.

JBL 4329P monitors will cost $4500 per pair. Stands JS-80 will cost another $250.
