Karan Acoustics celebrated its 30th anniversary with the release of two power amplifiers: the POWERa Mono monoblock and the POWERa Dual Mono two-channel model. Both new items are assembled in a symmetrical circuitry - in addition, the two-channel amplifier received a dual mono topology.

Traditionally for Karan products, new items are assembled exclusively on semiconductor elements, and in the final stages there are bipolar output transistors RET with a ring emitter. The ideology of Karan circuits is zero overall feedback.

The designers took particular note of the high transient speed by using DC coupled in a Class A operating mode, and without any capacitors in the audio signal path.

The cases of the novelties are massive aluminum products with an original luminous display with the Karan Acoustics logo. The chassis is equipped with critical mass systems - support legs CS2. They are designed to provide zero feedback between components and the reference surface.

The two-channel POWERa amplifier showed 2 x 650, 2 x 1 100, or 2 x 1 800 watts of power into a load of 8, 4, or 2 ohms respectively (800 watts peak at 8 ohms).

For a monoblock, these three figures are, respectively, 2,100, 3,600 and 6,000 W, and the THD in both models is promised at 0.03% with a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB.

Pricing for the Karan Acoustics POWERa Dual Mono and POWERa Mono has yet to be announced.
