JBL has announced professional retro monitors for home use. These are JBL 4349 two-way speakers designed to create studio quality sound.

For this purpose, a professional high-frequency compression driver JBL D2415K is responsible for the upper frequency range. It consists of 1.5-inch polymer annular diaphragms that operate on a High-Definition Imaging horn waveguide.

At low to midrange, the 12 "Pure-pulp driver comes into play, featuring a 3" long voice coil with two opposing centering washers to help minimize distortion. The 4349 Studio Monitor offers both bi-wired and band-by-band connections. Used gold-plated speaker cable terminals.

There is also a treble crossover control to adjust the sound for specific conditions. All of this is mounted in a 1-inch cabinet complete with a pair of front bass reflex ports. Finish - natural or black matt walnut with blue or black fabric grills.

In addition to the monitors, the optional JS-120 stands are available. Importantly, they can be tilted back to improve source consistency. The JBL 4349 monitors are slated to hit the US market in September for $ 7,500. Complementing them, the JS-120 stands for another $ 300 per pair.
