Klipsch unveils T5 II McLaren Edition headphones

We were told that Klipsch and McLaren entered into a partnership, and now the company presented its fruit - fully wireless headphones T5 II McLaren Edition.

There are quite a few differences from the usual T5s we recently tested . For example, from the racing team here materials and finishes: instead of a zipp-like case like the first generation of headphones, there is a construction with carbon fiber and inserts in the signature orange color. The case itself received a wireless charging module (with a charging station) and a larger battery: it will be able to recharge the headphones completely four times, and in general, the T5 II will work on a single charge for up to 8 hours.

The headphones and the case now have dust and water protection according to the IP67 standard (plus a proprietary moisture removal system, thanks to which the headphones will not fall out of sweaty ears), and the set of ear pads has significantly expanded: now it includes six pairs of branded silicone tips and a pair of Comply foam , plus three pairs of in-the-ear spacers. Also included is a commemorative metal card with the serial number of the earbuds and the date of manufacture, as well as a brochure.

In the headphones themselves, the antenna was replaced and they promised that now the signal would not be torn. Headphones are connected to sources using the Bluetooth 5.0 protocol and support aptX and AAC codecs. At the same time, the headphone cases were made about a quarter smaller and the sound guide was shortened. And a transparency mode has also been added, allowing the sounds of the outside world to pass through the headphones.

In addition to the McLaren Edition, the headphones will also come in Sport and Classic versions. The sports version differs from the racing color and does not include a wireless charging mat, but the classic one does not have in-ear spacers and foam tips, plus the case is almost the same as the T5, only thinner: it has no wireless charging, no water and dust protection.

Regular T5 II will cost $95.99, Sport - $129.98, and McLaren Edition - $230.56. on amazon
