Japanese inventor creates technology for transmitting taste on TV
Until now, televisions have been watched and listened to. Now they may also have to be licked - in any case, the invention of the professor at the Japanese Meiji University, Khomei Miyashita, is intended for this. The inventor decided that his proposed technology for transmitting taste from the TV screen, as an option, would diversify life experiences in the era of pandemic self-isolation. On the other hand, the prospect of licking the screen is not very hygienic.
The device itself, called Taste the TV (TTTV), is a clip of 10 containers of liquid flavors that are sprayed in the correct proportions onto a transparent film. It stretches across the TV screen, giving it a predetermined taste.
