The "thousandth" series of subwoofers from SVS is the very initial one, it includes only a couple of models. If you need a compact subwoofer and expect to use it not only in your home theater but also in your stereo system, the SVS has a great solution for this task - the SB-1000 model. With the dimensions of a cube with a side of just over 30 cm, it weighs almost 12 kg. It uses a rather rare and typically audiophile closed acoustic design, thanks to which the frequency response roll-off is much smoother, and the interaction with the listening room is much more gentle, if I may say so. Simply put, it is much less likely to hum in your room, even if it is completely unsuitable for audio use.

svs sb vs pb

There is a 12-inch low-frequency emitter, which occupies almost the entire front panel, connected to a class D amplifier. A proprietary Sledge STA-300D module is used as an amplifier, its rated power is 300 W, peak power is 720. It can be connected by using a linear output, such as a receiver, and from the power amplifier. From the adjustments available signal level, smooth phase change, and low-pass filter. In fact, we have before us the most compact SVS subwoofer, but this is exactly the case when size does not matter. Certainly, the closed acoustic design, coupled with the large caliber of the driver, makes it an excellent candidate for the role of low-frequency support in a stereo system, for example, with bookshelf satellites.

But it would be wrong to think that it is undesirable to use it in a classic home theater. It's just that it may seem to someone overly refined there, you know how it happens when the sound seems too correct and you want something not so strict. But this is already a matter of personal preference, for example, you can always add sparkle by adjusting the source, but in stereo applications, there is hardly a more disciplined performer.

Stunning deep bass expansion up to 20Hz and powerful output with stunning musicality that will delight both audio aficionados and home theater aficionados. The reference performance of a subwoofer has never been available at a price close to that price in a cabinet this size. The SVS SB-1000 Pro is a breakthrough subwoofer in every way. The SVS SB-1000 Pro 305mm Long Travel Subwoofer Driver has been designed with numerous innovations to provide high-performance subwoofer performance in a relatively compact package.

In concept and composition, the “two-thousandth” series repeats the older specialized 4000 series, but at a more affordable level, and in terms of the circuitry involved, it is closer to the flagship 16 Ultra. As for the continuity, it formally continues the 2000 series, but the Pro prefix implies that there are radical changes in it, and if we are talking about the development of the previous series, then it is more revolutionary than evolutionary.

The SVS 2000 series includes three models: traditional cubes with a frontal radiator and different acoustic designs, as well as an original cylindrical subwoofer.
The common points of all three models in the series are the speaker, amplifier, processor, and application, and we'll start with them. The caliber of the low-frequency radiator can be said to be canonical, 12 inches. A two-inch voice coil frame made of fiberglass with polyamide impregnation is wound in two layers with copper wire, and the cone is made of aluminum alloy 1050. The magnet system is ferrite, the basket is stamped steel with a powder coating.

The rated power of the built-in amplifier, operating in class D, is 550 W, the peak power is actually three times higher. The output stage uses powerful 600 V and 25 A field-effect transistors. Inputs and outputs are linear unbalanced, and there is also a USB connector for an optional wireless adapter. The entire facility is managed by a digital signal processor from Analog Devices with an operating frequency of 50 MHz and 56-bit filtering, and the keys on the rear panel with LED indication or a proprietary application for mobile devices are used for control. You can adjust the level, phase, polarity, listening room transfer function, and 3-band parametric equalizer.

SvS SB 2000 PRO

Room-filling output and the bass extension below 20Hz with audiophile sophistication and musicality, the SB-2000 Pro delivers reference subwoofer performance to more people than ever, thanks to a compact body measuring just 15 inches all around.

The 4000 Series replaced the well-deserved 13 Ultra. In the PB-4000 model, first of all, the proprietary woofer with a diameter of 343 (!) Mm is striking; in fact, this is the main caliber of the battleship. The built-in (!) The Phase-inverter port on the front panel also prompts associations with the battleship. The emitter itself weighs almost 20 kg, of which almost 90% falls on the downright cyclopean dual magnetic system based on ferrite.

SVS is renowned for creating exceptional subwoofers and speakers. The company has launched its new 4000 Series subwoofers, which will offer benchmark quality and premium features at attractive prices.

All subwoofers in the series are equipped with 13.5 "rigid composite cone drivers with high excursion parabolic and MOSFET transistors, STA-1200D amplifiers that provide 1200 watts of power. svs sb vs pb

The 4000 Series also includes DSP capabilities that enhance performance and are programmable with a dedicated app for Apple and Android devices. You can operate the device using the remote control, but all functions can also be used using the app on your smartphone. In addition, the new models feature front-facing displays with menu controls, a significant improvement in ergonomics over the older SVS 13.5 "models.

The amplifier is also branded here, naturally in class D, with a nominal power of 1200 W and peak power of more than four kilowatts. It uses powerful field-effect transistors with an operating voltage of 600 V and a current of 32 A. The amplifier is connected to a universal power supply with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 V, which, regardless of its value, provides a stable 360 V DC output.

The Ultra series of SVS is a natural pinnacle of creativity of American developers, an ultimatum and absolutely unattainable for many, at least in a constructive sense. The 16-inch speaker with an 8-inch voice coil has maximum cone travel of almost 10 cm, the Ultra series is equipped with a quad magnet system, and its lower cutoff frequency is standardized by the manufacturer at 13 Hz.
