SVS pc-2000 vs pc-4000

The unique cylindrical subwoofers PC-2000 and PC 4000 is good not only for their design, although this is a valuable property, not many are also ready to sacrifice the interior in the name of some kind of "black obelisk". Due to its compact vertical form factor, it can be placed almost anywhere in the room, and the processor's capabilities allow you to neutralize the negative aspects of an installation that is not the most logical from the point of view of acoustics. It guarantees convincing performance even in a fairly large-scale home theater while keeping the audience focused solely on the film, rather than on the dwellings of technology in the living space.

SvS PC-2000 vs PC-4000

This unique and patented cylinder design is a marvel of acoustic efficiency, with the possibility of more perfect tuning of the deep range by utilizing the vertical space. The sleek cylinder, i.e. standing subwoofers, fit into any cinema, living room, or media room without sacrificing performance and sound. Thanks to the long-stroke subwoofer mounted on the bottom of the box, which is also difficult in its category, the boxes have a low center of gravity and thus excellent stability. An exclusive integrated amplifier installation module ensures a safe and elegant design for the sophisticated and revolutionary DSP control amplifier unit. The resonance-free grid and box structure - this is the minimum you can expect from an SVS cylinder, standing subwoofer, active subwoofer. the main difference between the two SVS pc 2000 and SVS pc 4000 is of watts cylinder size, ports as SVS pc 2000 comes with one port and SVS pc 4000 comes with three ports

The active subwoofer SVS PC-2000 Pro features manual control technology from the flagship SVS 16-Ultra series. The subwoofer is made in a cylindrical casing, taking up minimal space. The case is equipped with a SoundPath system, the model works up to 16 Hz with an unevenness of 3 dB.

The subwoofer is built around a 12-inch ventilated driver with an aluminum cone and double magnet in a cast aluminum frame with a patented geometry that provides "flawless piston movement". The subwoofer is equipped with a Power Sledge STA-550D class D amplifier based on discrete MOSFETs in the output stage. The manufacturer speaks of high currents and over 1,500 watts of peak power with "incredibly low distortion."

The signal for the amplifier is processed by a 50MHz DSP with 56-bit filtering. Available not only for Apple iOS and Android devices but also on Amazon devices, the SVS Subwoofer DSP Smartphone app is designed to wirelessly control the 2000 Pro Series subwoofers. Provides volume control, customization, and selection of user preset, 3-band parametric equalizer, low-pass filter, phase adjustment, polarity, room correction, port settings.

In addition, the rear panel of the amplifier houses the buttons and an Intelligent Control Interface (ICI) LED panel, first introduced on the 3000 SVS series of subwoofers. ICI also allows you to control volume, phase, and other system parameters.

Main characteristics SVS pc 2000

The new active subwoofer SVS PC-2000 Pro is manufactured in a cylindrical bass-reflex case. The PC-2000 Pro is equipped with a 305mm long-travel compressed cellulose woofer with a wide rubber surround directed to the floor. Built-in Class D amplifier power: 550W continuous /> 1500W peak. The subwoofer is controlled using the installed application via Bluetooth. Dimensions (WxH): 422 mm x 872 mm. Color: black piano lacquer.

SvS PC-4000

A bass speaker unparalleled in the audio world, the PC-4000 is an icon of design innovation from SVS and is growing steadily as the most sophisticated cylindrical subwoofer the company has ever developed. Indoor power consumption and deep bass boost are below the human hearing threshold with less than half the area required for comparable bass reflex subwoofers.

At the heart of the SVS PC-4000 subwoofer is the Sledge STA-1200D amplifier, delivering 1,200 watts of RMS power and over 4,000 watts. During the development, the engineers aimed to "collect all available technologies and apply them so that as many people as possible can enjoy real high-quality bass."

The subwoofer is assisted by Analog Devices' DSP, "the most sophisticated chip ever installed in a subwoofer." The 13.5-inch woofer weighs almost 20 kg, so the PC-4000 cabinet is made of double-thickness fiberboard with extra bracing for structural strength and resonance control. DSP tuning allows you to optimize the sound: programming is carried out through a special mobile application for Apple and Android devices.

The delivery set includes a remote control, but its capabilities are not as wide as those of the application. The front panel of the subwoofer has a display that shows information about the settings. The PC-4000 model has a phase inverter, and the subwoofer differs from its “brothers” in the series with a cylindrical body.

The powerful amplifier and speaker are paired with advanced DSP technology for a level of performance and user control never seen before at this price point. The SVS PC-4000 also comes standard with SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation for clearer bass performance with increased resolution and more bumps without room error and reduced bass to the rest of the house.
