The Danish company Soundboks presented the fourth generation of its “signature” Bluetooth concert system. The first Soundboks, which owed its success to a successful Kickstarter campaign, maxed out at 119 dB. The Soundboks 4 claims a sound pressure of 126 dB. Subjectively, it feels like twice as loud.

For this purpose, three amplifiers with a power of 72 W each work in a system of two 10-inch woofers and an inch tweeter. “We've boosted the bass, fine-tuned the mids and highs for crystal-clear audio, and optimized just about everything to make the battery last 20% longer at full volume,” the company said in a press release. As a result, a removable LiFePO4 battery with parameters of 12.9 V/7.8 Ah is capable of providing up to six hours of sound at full power or up to 40 hours at half power.

The built-in electronics in Soundboks 4 are rated IP65. The exterior is protected by a waterproof poplar plywood casing on an aluminum frame, with a snap-on, perforated steel grill. There are protective silicone pads in the corners; there are handles and even straps for carrying, like a backpack.

Up to five Soundboks 4 can sound consistent using SKAA wireless technology and TeamUp. In addition to the Bluetooth 5.0 module, the signal can also be transmitted via cable: there is a 3.5 mm stereo input, a pair of combined XLRs, and the ability to connect DJ equipment. The mobile application will allow you to configure the equalizer while saving presets.

In the US, the Soundbox 4 party speaker costs $1,000.
