Liberty 3 Pro headphone review
a cheaper and best alternative to Sony
You can evaluate the quality of the headphones only when listening. At first glance, it seems that the Liberty 3 Pro solves the problems of the previous model. There is active noise cancellation (ANC), and the case has become 30% smaller.
In the case of wireless headphones, it's hard to tell how good value for money they are. You can't tell from the characteristics alone. For example, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 has 6mm drivers internally, but they sound better than the Liberty 3 Pro with 10.6mm drivers.
At the same time, you will have to pay more than 12 thousand rubles for the new Soundcore model. – isn't it too expensive when the Soundcore Life P3 and Nothing Ear 1 are cheaper?

Design and construction
In Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro, the absence of a “leg” is immediately evident, these headphones are more compact than many competitive models.
Visually smaller than the Liberty Air 2 Pro and Nothing Ear 1, they are also very light, weighing only 5.9 grams each. There are four colors to choose from: midnight black, frosty white, foggy gray and twilight purple.
Liberty 3 Pro look very stylish, and listening to music in them is very comfortable. A large selection of eartips ensures that the headphones will fit snugly in any ear. IPX4 water resistance allows you to use them in the rain or while exercising.
The charging case is small, with a conveniently implemented opening mechanism - the cover slides smoothly upwards. The same approach was taken with the Air 2 Pro, although here the design seems to be more reliable.
Control and voice assistant
Touch panels are provided for control in Liberty 3 Pro. Supports single, double and triple taps, as well as press and hold.
These actions allow you to adjust the volume, switch between tracks and change the ANC mode. Presses are read accurately, but holding is sometimes not recognized for some reason, it remains to be hoped that this will be fixed in the update.
In the application settings, you can make sure that certain clicks call the voice assistant. The voice is well recognized both indoors and outdoors. This seems strange, because microphones work much worse during phone calls.
Smartphone app
The Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro has a companion app that is still second to none in terms of convenience.
The app is free, available for Android and iOS, and offers many useful features. The interface is simple and clear, you will immediately find the desired setting or function. There is an equalizer with many adjustments and a HearID test to optimize noise reduction. The latter is especially useful if you sometimes feel uncomfortable pressure in your ears due to ANC.
Also in the Soundcore app, you can activate 3D surround sound for a better immersion in games and movies. There are touch control settings, as well as access to the Lüm music service from partner Anker.
Sound quality
The sound from the Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro is excellent, especially if you further tune it through the equalizer.
There is support for the LDAC codec, which allows you to save every detail of the composition when transferring via Bluetooth. True, there are few gadgets that support this codec, so you will probably listen to music compressed via SBC, AAC or ALAC. But, even in this case, Liberty 3 Pro should not disappoint you.
The sound is not distorted even at high volume, and the frequencies do not mix with each other. The sound stage is voluminous, the mids and lows are saturated, although the basses are too energetic. But almost the same sound is provided by the Liberty 2 Pro and Nothing Ear 1, despite the fact that these two models are much cheaper.
Active noise cancellation
The main update of the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro compared to the previous model was the appearance of ANC.
Active Noise Canceling technology uses six microphones on the earcups to eliminate unwanted sounds. If you choose the right nozzles, you will not hear any external noise. The Soundcore app includes a HearID test that analyzes your hearing profile and pressure levels to further optimize your ANC.
If you need to hear what is happening around you, turn on the transparency mode. It works great here: external sounds do not merge with the music, so you can listen to your favorite songs and talk to other people at the same time.
Quality of communication and calls
Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro is connected to devices via Bluetooth 5.2. At a distance of 10 meters, you will not have any communication problems. But, for calls, headphones are not very suitable.
Everything is fine in the room - not too loud external noise is blocked by six microphones. But, as soon as you find yourself in a noisy environment, for example, on the street, it will be very difficult to hear the interlocutor. It's easier to take out the headphones and just talk through your smartphone.
Autonomy Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro
With Active Noise Canceling, the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro provides up to 6 hours of continuous listening.
Together with three recharges from the case, this gives 24 hours of autonomy. If ANC is disabled, the indicator will increase to 32 hours. The Liberty 3 Pro outperforms Nothing Ear 1 and Liberty Air 2 Pro in this regard. A quick charge of the earbuds for 15 minutes gives you three hours of listening time.
In general, you won’t have to worry about battery life, you should have enough for a week on one charge.
Outcome
Apart from problems during calls and an increased price, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro are good in everything. They have great sound, long battery life, a compact body and a great companion app.
The active noise cancellation is almost flawless here, especially with the eartips that sit snugly in the ears. But, the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro has one important drawback - the high price of $ 129.99
