Bang & Olufsen Launches BeoLab 50 Floor Standing Speakers
According to Bang & Olufsen, the BeoLab 50 active loudspeakers are characterized by "perfect sound and beautiful design." This is the first Bang & Olufsen loudspeaker to take full advantage of the innovative BeoLab 90 at a fraction of the cost of the flagship.
The acoustics look graceful, despite the impressive size and height of the model. The materials (silver-polished aluminum surfaces and warm oak lamellas) add elegance.
The powerful BeoLab 50 (1 speaker - 2,100 W) uses Active Room Compensation technology - active room compensation. Using an external microphone, the system measures the acoustics of the room and applies compensation filters to provide optimum sound in your preferred listening position or throughout the room.
They did not abandon the proprietary technology Acoustic Lens Technology, which is responsible for the wide dispersion of high frequencies - an acoustic lens is located at the top of the speaker above the tweeter looking at the ceiling. However, in this model it is possible to adjust the dispersion width by mechanically shifting the side walls of the lens. Two positions are offered: wide and narrow mode. The system is motorized.
The Bang & Olufsen App lets you control BeoLab 50 and helps you customize the sound of your system. The BeoLab 50 speakers are linked by Digital Power Link technology in a master / slave configuration with sound sources fed into the system via the master speaker's comprehensive patch panel. In addition to the wired connection, BeoLab 50 also supports WiSA wireless technology.
