Audio-Technica ATH-AWAS Headphones 

As with all new wood-bodied headphones, the ATH-AWAS are handcrafted in the Tokyo factory. The Audio-Technica ATH-AWAS cups are made from the rare Asada Zakura wood (Japanese hop-grab is a type of ironwood), renowned for its use in high-end acoustics for its beauty, strength and ability to limit unwanted resonances. The red color of the Asada Zakura wood is accentuated by the semi-gloss handcrafted finish of the headphones.

The ATH-AWAS also features 53mm drivers with an exclusive DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) diaphragm, pure iron forks and 6N-OFC voice coils for detailed and natural sounding from 5 to 42,000 Hz. Double Air Damping System provides precise low frequency response. The angled magnesium alloy earcups are wrapped in soft ear cushions, and together with the headband, they provide comfort even after extended use. The earbuds also feature A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors for secure connection with two supplied 3.0m detachable cables. One cable has a 6.3mm (1/4 ") gold-plated stereo plug for use with standard audio equipment.
