Harman Unveils JBL Professional ScreenArray 3800 & 4800 Series For Rooms Up To 250 Seats

 

Harman Professional Solutions, Harman's professional installation equipment division, has announced the launch of the JBL Professional ScreenArray 3800 and 4800 Series speakers. The speakers are designed for small and medium-sized commercial cinemas.

A distinctive feature of the new products is a bundle of Differential Drive woofers and titanium compression HF emitters in patented horns. According to the manufacturer, these specially shaped horns are designed to compensate for possible sound losses when the speakers are installed behind a projection surface. In addition, the company noted that the speaker enclosures are also designed taking into account the shallow installation depth.

For cinemas with 100-150 seats, the recommended models are JBL 3822N (two lanes), JBL 3830 (three lanes, optional active mode) and JBL 3832 (three lanes, active configuration). For halls with 150–250 seats, the company offered JBL 4822N (two lanes) and JBL 4832 (three lanes, active configuration). All of the above models can be used in installations with other acoustics of the JBL Professional 3000 and 4000 series.

The new JBL Professional ScreenArray 3800 and 4800 series are currently only available in China. Prices have not yet been announced.
