There are many benefits to using banana plugs with the speaker wire. Not only do they help to make the facilities clearer, but they also give you a permanent and high connection.

Patch cables are often unreliable. Cables tend to disconnect or tangle over time, which can affect sound quality.

With banana plugs, you can ensure that this never happens. Another benefit is when the work is behind the wall using plates (instead of just leaving the holes in the wall) most of the wall plates come with plugs for the banana plugs.

1- Cut the cable

The first thing to do is cut the cable to the required length. If the cord goes behind the wall, do so before connecting. Once you have the correct length of the cable, pull one side out to give yourself room to maneuver.

2- separate the cables

You need to work with each of the two cables. To make it easier, parting the wires in the middle will give you an inch or two slowly.

3- working on the cables separately

You need to work with each of the two cables. To make it easier, parting the wires in the middle will give you an inch or two slowly.

4- cut the plastic or cable cover

Position the sharp side of the cutter half an inch from the edge of the wire, letting the force of your arm put pressure on the cutter at the same time turning it around the wire to expose the copper.

5- The cable must be exposed

Strip the cable and remove the piece of plastic, this will expose the cable and you can put it in the banana plug

6- Repeat step number 5 on the next cable

The same process is repeated but on the second cable

7- connecting the banana plugs

When the two cables are exposed and the copper is exposed, connect them to the banana plug, the cutter is no longer needed

8- twist the copper tips

In order to connect the cables easier in the banana plug, you need to twist the copper parts together. Put in the middle of the index finger and thumb, slide the fingers from one side to the other at the top, making the wires twist between them.

9- connecting the banana plugs

Since the copper tips are twisted together, they are ready to connect to the Strike banana plug. Each pair of leads will use a pre-marked red and black banana plug. The red color connects with the gray wire with the red line. the other banana plug is connected to the black wire

10- assembling the horn cable

Take the banana plug with the red line and remove the bottom. Put the speaker wire inside the bottom of the banana plug

11- push the cable into the banana plug

Push the cable in until there is no more space available. There is a cone on the front of the plug that separates the wires inside the speaker, to make sure they have a correct connection. If the cable does not go all the way down there will not be a secure connection.

12-reconnect the banana plug to secure it

After the cable is fully connected, connect the other part of the banana plug to the bottom one, this will push the cable further in, ensuring a better connection. If all parts are properly seated inside the banana plug this will tighten the wire in such a way that there is no way for it to disconnect or come off.

13- repeat the process

Repeat this process for the other banana plug, making sure that the cable is as far in as possible so that the connection is as desired.

14- connect the banana plug to the speaker

With the two cables fully plugged into the banana plug, simply plug the two plugs into the back of the speaker or receiver.
