Safran Euphony
passenger seat sound by Devialet
Until now, the most common way to listen to something on an airplane has been a headset - a solution that is not suitable for everyone. The Euphony system, unveiled at the Aircraft Interiors show in June, sounds through two pairs of custom Devialet speakers mounted on the right and left side of the passenger seat's headrest. And these side parts can also be tilted to their side relative to the vertical axis.
Franck Lebouchard, CEO of Devialet, said: "We believe that great sound should be available at all times, whether on the ground or in the sky, and with Safran seats we are one step closer to that goal." Euphony will appear in Safran Seats Business and First class products as early as 2023.
