The entry-level E1 Plug & Play turntable claimed by Pro-Ject is a traditional belt-driven design. The body of the novelty is made, according to the company, from a fiber composite on CNC machines.

The engine is a new design, it is well damped and operates at two speeds - 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, with electronic speed switching. The ABC platter is complemented by an 8.6" aluminum tonearm with a pre-installed and factory-tuned Ortofon OM 5E cartridge. A dust cover is also provided, also made of ABC.

The novelty was announced in three versions: E1 Standard, E1 Phono and E1 BT. The first one is designed to work in tandem with an external phono stage, the second one has its own preamplifier-corrector, and the third one also has a Bluetooth transmitting module for working with wireless devices.

All three versions of the novelty are equipped with a branded external power supply for 15 volts. The E1 will be available in glossy black, glossy white or walnut and should be available before the end of May.
