Which is better - Cambridge CXC + DAC or Marantz CD5005?

Good day! The crux of the matter is that I recently purchased a Cambridge CXA60 amplifier to replace the old Technics SU-A800MK2 and realized that Technics simply had no sound, and at the moment I’m thinking about changing the CD player (now Technics SL-PG590). At the moment I’m considering two options - Cambridge CXC and DAC (there is also a question which is better) or Marantz CD5005. I foresee quite reasonable phrases - "Why a DAC if it is in the amplifier?". Here is a question for acoustics, this is a JBL Studio 280, and they don't sing without an equalizer from the word "absolutely". I tried to hook up the Technics SL-PG590 to the amplifier through optics, but I was not satisfied with the result. For listening, I prefer CD (not MP3), preferably a company or a license, I categorically do not perceive discs as a carrier for music. Who can advise?
