Klipsch introduces 10 systems in the seventh generation of the Reference Series

Klipsch credits the 10 speakers in the updated Reference Series with "the most significant upgrades since the series' inception, including many technologies borrowed from the award-winning Klipsch Reference Premiere series."

This series has been developing for 25 years (until 2015 it was known as Synergy). The seventh iteration also included Dolby Atmos speakers. They received special connectors for installation on the top plane of the floorstanders - a simple solution that eliminates unnecessary cables.

In total, the updated Reference series includes three floor-standing systems R-605FA with support for Dolby Atmos, R-800F, and R-600F, two center channels R-50C and R-600F, two shelf speakers - R-50M and R-40M. The R-40SA can be used both as a Dolby Atmos system and as a surround sound system. In addition, the Reference series has two active subwoofers - R-121SW and R-101SW.

The appearance of the updated Reference is marked by an enlarged Tractrix branded horn - it now covers the entire front panel in width. The profile of low-frequency diffusers made of thermoformed crystalline polymer (TCP) with a copper-plated surface has also changed - it has also become deeper. The changes also affected crossover schemes. New items received cabinets in black, damage-resistant vinyl.

In the UK, Klipsch Reference speakers start at £275 for R-40M bookshelf speakers and go up to £1,500 for R-605FA cinema floor standing speakers.
