Martin Logan Amplifier

The Martin Logan MDA Series Matrix Switcher Amplifiers debuted at CEDIA 2019 in Denver, Colorado, USA. These are two models - MDA8 and MDA16 - for 8 and 16 input digital or analog channels, respectively, allowing you to create four and eight independent multi-room zones.

Vinyl Records That Should Be in Everyone’s Record Collection

The devices are ready to handle digital signals up to 24 bit / 192 kHz. Each multiroom zone has a 2 x 60W Class D stereo amplifier into an 8 ohm load, which doubles into a 4-ohm load. In addition, a bridged connection is provided for the outputs of the amplifiers of each zone - then you can get 200 watts into 8 ohms in a mono version.

The MDA models remember and adapt to the Martin Logan acoustic features, thanks to the presets wired into memory. When working with "unfamiliar" speakers, built-in Advanced Load Monitoring technology is ready to determine the electrical characteristics and optimize the output signal.

In addition, Anthem Room Correction technology is integrated into the devices, which allows you to calibrate the sound in each zone in less than five minutes, taking into account the characteristics of the room, including the settings of the subwoofers. After all this, there will still be the opportunity to use the broadband equalizer and stereo balance adjustment.

To manage devices, a proprietary web interface has been created that provides access to all functions. In addition, the Martin Logan MDA series matrix switchers/amplifiers can be integrated into Control4, Crestron, Elan, RTI, Savant, and URC control systems both via RS232 and IP.

The MDA8 and MDA16 models are said to be available next year. The cost of new products was $ 1,999 and $ 2,999, respectively.
