Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 Portable Speaker Second Generation: Amazon Alexa and Water Resistant.

Bang & Olufsen has announced the launch of the second generation of its Beosound A1 portable Bluetooth speaker. The new modification has become more compact and protected (now the column is not afraid of water).

In addition, the new product received built-in Amazon Alexa for voice control and queries. In order for speech recognition to be of high quality, the column was equipped with three microphones. It's worth noting that the new A1 doesn't have Wi-Fi, so Alexa can only function when paired with a smartphone that has internet access.

As for the existing Bluetooth-module, version 5.1 with aptX and AAC is offered. Two speakers can be connected wirelessly to each other for stereo.

The speaker uses one 3.5-inch woofer and one 0.75-inch tweeter, which are powered by a 30W D-class amplifier. The speaker spreads sound 360 °. The manufacturer recommended using the A1 in rooms up to 30 m² when it comes to listening to music in an enclosed space. Through a special application, you can customize the equalizer to your liking.

The built-in 3,000 mAh battery should hold a charge for 18 hours if listening to songs at medium volume.

The second generation Beosound A1 speaker is already available in the US for $ 250. The manufacturer offered black and gray colors.
